PAST WINNERS

The Women's Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art congratulates the winners of the 2010 and 2012 Photography Competitions. The competition was conceived to draw attention to photography's significance as a contemporary art form, and to broaden and build the Museum's already extensive photography collection. The past two competitions have received over 1,3000 entries from established and emerging artists from all over the world. Our team of expert jurors selected six winning artists for the 2010 and 2012 portfolio, along with one Curator's Choice winner whose print is sold individually.

The Women's Committee would like to thank everyone who entered the competition. We are particularly grateful to our past dedicated and discerning jurors: Peter Barberie, The Brodsky Curator of Photographs, Alfred Stieglitz Center, Philadelphia Museum of Art; Vince Aletti, Photography Critic; Tina Barney, photographer; Melissa Harris, Editor-in-Chief, Aperture magazine and Andrea Modica, noted photographer.
